齊魯青年論壇作為山東大學(xué)引才聚才的重要品牌活動，自2016年至2022年已成功舉辦七屆，論壇面向全球邀請不同學(xué)術(shù)背景的青年才俊，圍繞國際科學(xué)前沿、熱點(diǎn)研究領(lǐng)域以及行業(yè)產(chǎn)業(yè)問題探討交流，旨在為海內(nèi)外杰出青年人才搭建一個溝通、互動的平臺，吸引海內(nèi)外青年學(xué)者與山東大學(xué)共同發(fā)展。

Qilu Youth Forum, as an integral part of Shandong University's talent introducing brand, has been successfully held for seven consecutive years from 2016 to 2022. Revolving around international scientific frontier, cutting-edge research areas, and industry-related issues, the Forum aims to serve as a platform for young scholars of different academic backgrounds at home and abroad to conduct academic exchange and cooperation, as well as to appeal them to develop together with Shandong University.

Eligibility: (either of the following criteria should be met)
1. Nationally recognized young talents at a high level or young scholars of comparable level;
2. Scholars below 38 years old, having obtained or about to obtain doctoral degree from universities at home and abroad, having achieved significant accomplishments with important academic impact in the field, demonstrating strong academic potential, and ranking among the top young scholars of the same age group in the disciplinary field both at home and abroad.

Shandong University, originally founded in 1901 as Shandong Imperial College (Shandong Da Xue Tang), is renowned as one of the initiative universities of modern Chinese higher education. ?Faculty Members
Shandong University has now attracted 23 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, more than 200 national-level leading talents, and more than 200 national-level young talents.
From 2018 to 2021, Shandong University has recruited 252 national high-level talents.
In 2022, Shandong University ranked among the top 10 in China in terms of the number of national-level talents selected.
In May 2023, Prof. Liu Jianya, Prof. Zhang Chenghui and Prof. Sun Jinpeng were named recipients of the third National Innovation Pioneer Award.
Four Shandong University faculty members and alumni were awarded the Future Science Prize successively, making Shandong University ranking No.1 in China.
?Contributions to the Country
Shandong University has made an increasing number of major landmark achievements that satisfy the country's need for greater self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology.
■ Academician Wang Wenxing's team pioneered the introduction of quantum chemical computation into the field of environmental chemistry, and made a series of ground-breaking achievements in such important fields as atmospheric PM2.5 and haze chemistry.
■ Academician Zhang Yun's team initiated a new approach and formula for estimating hemodynamic parameters using Doppler ultrasound technology in the international arena.
■ Academician Peng Shige's team proposed the theory of inverse stochastic differential equations, and initiated the internationally recognized Chinese school of "nonlinear expectation".
■ Academician Wang Xiaoyun's team established China’s discourse in the field of international cryptography, which firmly supported the major national aerospace projects and the financial security of China.
■ Academician Chen Zijiang's team made a breakthrough in the genetic pathogenesis of infertility and the regulatory mechanism of early embryonic development, taking the lead in international reproductive medicine research.
■ Academician Li Shucai's team made a breakthrough in the world challenge of forecasting sudden water and mud disasters in underground tunnel engineering, ranking in an international leading position.
Major national cultural projects, such as the Integration of Ancient Chinese Books, the National Research Project on Tracing the Origins of Chinese Civilization, Archaeology in China, and the compilation of the General History of China, are being progressed in an orderly manner.
Shandong University was selected into the second batch of Chinese Literature and Art Review Bases, and ranked 7th in China in terms of the number of major national social sciences projects of various types authorized in 2022.
